As soon as the IPL gets over and the summer holidays of schools begin, the Fridays are going to be chock-a-block with multiple releases. One of the big clashes at box office will be between Shahid Kapoor and Ajay Devgan.
Shahid Kapoor’s home production Mausam, directed by his dad Pankaj Kapur and co-starring Sonam Kapoor, is slated to release on July 22. But that is also the day finalized for the release of director Rohit Shetty’s action thriller Singham, starring Ajay Devgan.
Now, considering Devgan’s pull at box office (he was the most successful star of 2010 with three hit films: Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, Raajneeti and Golmaal 3), Shahid is understandably concerned about the clash of his film Mausam with Singham.

The word is that Shahid has been sending messages to Devgan to work out a way to avoid the clash. Whether he will be able to convince Devgan and Shetty to release ‘Singham’ on another date remains to be seen.
