Pagal Federer out after shock Jo-Wilfried Tsonga defeat

Third seed Roger Federer has crashed out of Wimbledon 2011 courtesy of Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, who produced a stunning comeback in their last-eight tie to set up a semi-final with Novak Djokovic.

It's the second consecutive time Federer has been sent packing from the last eight at Wimbledon - and the first time he's ever lost a Grand Slam match after being two sets up.

The Swiss maestro won the first two sets 3-6 6-7, but then lost the final three 6-4 6-4 6-4 in an uncharacteristic slip up on Centre Court.
Tsonga's raw power blew Federer away and when the 12th seed broke for 2-1 in both the third and fourth sets, he was able to use the momentum to hold on in the fifth.
After the match, Tsonga described the win as 'crazy'.

'He is the biggest champion in my sport, he achieved a lot of things,' he said.
'He is the best player in the world and I'm just so happy to beat him, especially on grass as it is one of his best surfaces.
'It was just amazing today, I played unbelievable, everything was in.'

Federer was gunning for a record-equaling seventh Wimbledon crown, but will have to wait until next year to attempt the feat.

Progressing through to the semi-finals, Frenchman Tsonga will now play Serbian star Djokovic on Friday.

The number two seed - who has lost just one match so far this year - was pushed to four sets by 18-year-old Australian Bernard Tomic, the youngest player to reach the quarter-finals since Boris Becker in 1986.
'I'm delighted to be through - it's a great result but it was a very even match,' a modest Djokovic said afterwards.
'I played very well to start with but I played one very bad service game and he got back into the match, and from that moment on he was the better player.'
