Arsenal fear over Wilshere injury
Arsenal fear Jack Wilshere could be sidelined for up to three months due to a persistent problem with his right ankle.
Wilshere has not started a competitive game this season and, according to a report in The Mirror, are reluctant to rush the 19-year-old back into action.
The England international is currently wearing a surgical boot to protect the injury but is due to start a light training programme in mid-October.
But if Wilshere breaks down again, then the insertion of a screw into the joint may be needed and that could keep him out until December.
The midfielder came through pre-season with the Gunners despite the niggle but took a heavy challenge during England's 2-2 draw with Switzerland in June that aggravated the injury
Arsenal are now determined that make sure the youngster is fully fit before he returns to first XI.
