Arnold Schwarzenegger appeared practically unable to contain his excitement as he posted a beaming photo to his Twitter account after arriving in India.
The Terminator star tweeted a picture of himself wearing a flower garland necklace and sporting a traditional red bindi, along with the message: 'This is how they greeted me in Delhi. Does anyone have some good restaurants or other tips?'
Unfortunately, despite the 64-year-old's attempts at dressing to impress, one of the tourist delights he didn't get a chance to enjoy was a visit to the Taj Mahal.

All dressed up and no place to go: Arnold Schwarzenegger unsuccessfully tried to visit the Taj Mahal
Schwarzenegger travelled to the Indian city of Agra today, only to discover that Fridays are the one day each week the monument is closed to tourists because of Muslim prayers at a nearby mosque.
His tour guide Nitin Singh said the Last Action Hero was disappointed and had to view the Taj Mahal from a nearby road.
Schwarzenegger took pictures with his cell phone and posed for photos with the Taj as the backdrop.
However the set back did not stop the star from indulging in some other interesting activities on his first trip to the country.
And he was clearly having a whale of a time as he used his Twitter accounts to update his followers as to what he was up to during his stay.
Possibly the highlight of the trip so far was when the former governor got the chance to tuck into a giant naan bread.
Predator: Arnie posted a photo to his Twitter account that saw him tucking into a giant naan bread
'Fantastic': Arnie said he'd had a great time at a restaurant recommended by one of his Twitter followers
Arnie posted a photo of himself biting into a ginormous piece of the flat bread, with an animalistic expression on his face.
The caption read: 'I loved the food. I've loved my first trip to India. Here I am with the biggest piece of naan in Delhi.'
And he also made sure to take the advice of his loyal fans to heart after thanking one of his followers for recommending a restaurant.
The star used the social networking site to post an image of members of staff at one of the eateries he visited, describing it as 'fantastic'.
He may have filmed movies all over the world, but this is Schwarzenegger’s first visit to India.
Closed for business: Arnold Schwarzenegger stands in front of the historic Taj Mahal, in Agra, India, after he was unable to visit the inside of the compound of the world famous site, which is closed Fridays
First visit: Schwarzenegger, who's attending a conference, has never been to India before
The Terminator star, who is in India for an environmental conference, told a TV channel he would consider acting in Bollywood if offered an interesting script with a good director.
'I'll be back,' he quipped, as the studio audience erupted in cheers.
The Taj Mahal was built in 1653 under the orders of the Mughal Empire’s Shah Jahan as a homage to his wife, who died while giving birth to the couple’s 14th child.
The governator's wife of 25 years, Maria Shriver, filed for divorce in July after he admitted to fathering a secret love child with their housekeeper Mildred Baena.
Shriver, however, appears to be reconsidering the move due to a number of factors, including her Catholic faith and Arnold's attempts to woo her back.
He'll be back? He told an Indian TV station that he was open to doing a Bollywood movie if it was a good script and a good director
Regrets: Arnold's tour guide said the Last Action Hero was disappointed of the Taj Mahal's closure and had to view the monument from a nearby road
Rumours of a reconciliation were sparked last month when Schwarzenegger was spotted out with Maria filed for divorce citing 'irreconcilable differences' and asked for joint physical and legal custody of their youngest children, Patrick and Christopher.
The couple had no prenuptial agreement, so Schwarzenegger and Shriver would be entitled to a 50/50 split of their assets.
The two are estimated to be worth $400 million.
With his California governorship behind him, Schwarzenegger has turned back to films, and will next appear with his aging action buddies Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Chuck Norris in Expendables 2.
