LAHORE: Geoff Lawson has found an unexpected ally in form of former skipper Javed Miandad who felt the coach alone should not be blamed for Pakistan's poor performance.

Miandad told Geo News after meeting the PCB Chairman Ejaz Butt that he was always available to work for Pakistan Cricket.

Miandad is tipped to be included in PCBs governing body, but the former captain has denied such a move.

He added that involvement of non-professionals in the board has ruined the game in the country.

The former coach also blamed undisciplined players for the dismal performance of Pakistan Cricket Team blaming them more for the poor results.

Miandad praised the new chairman for his management skills and hoped he will take the right steps for the revival of cricket in the country.
