The Inter Regional Under-19 Cricket Academy has been started from Thursday across the country.


While all the players have reported in the Regional Academy Rawalpindi.

According to president of Rawalpindi Regional Cricket Association Maj. Retd Naeem Akhtar Gilani the regional cricket academy being held in Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will continue till September 23.

He said that the head coach Sabeeh Azhar, assistant coach Javed Hayat; fielding coach Shahid Javed and trainer Imran Ullah would train the twenty-five players participating in the academy, in two sessions.

He said the twenty-five players include Nauman Ali, Shiraz Latif, Qasim Arif Sabeeh Al Hassan, Yousuf Iqbal, Ahsan Abbasi, Mir Wais Aqib Shah, Hassan Raza, Tallah Qureshi, Bilal Hanif, Ayaz Khan, Muhammad Farhan, Izhar Hussain, Nauman Rasool, Haider Ali, Rahim Ullah, Abid Hassan, Hafeez-ur-Rehman, Tauseef Shah, Adil Shabbir, Shaheen Zulfiqarnain, Faisal Rehman, Muneeb Anjum and Usman Ghani.

Moreover he said during the training session, practice matches would also be conducted for the players.

He said that the regional cricket academy Rawalpindi has introduced various players including Muhammad Aamir, Umar Amin, Hammad Azam, Sadaf Hussain, Owais Zia, Muhammad Rameez, Muhammad Nawaz, Afaq Rahim and others.
