Murray beats Federer in thriller
SHANGHAI: Andy Murray has won an amazing match against Roger Federer at the Masters Cup event in Shanghai, China. Murray had already qualified for the semi-finals, but Federer had to win to seal his place in the last four. He won 4-6, 7-6 (7-3), 7-5 in a match that lasted 3 hours and 3 minutes. The former world number two won the first set, but then Murray hit back and took the second to set up a decider. The third and final set was a thriller, with Murray missing out on seven match points before finally sealing a brilliant victory. The Masters Cup is a pretty important tournament, and only the four Grand Slam titles and the Olympics are bigger events. Only the top eight players in the world get to play in it, and now Murray is just two matches away from winning it. The first of those games comes on Saturday, when Murray takes on Nikolay Davydenko in the semi-final, after Gilles Simon plays Novak Djokovic in other last-four match.
