    Recipe of the day ~`~ 6th October 2013 ~`~

    Chicken croissants

    Ingredients for dough:

    1. All purpose flour/ maida 2 cups
    2. Instant yeast 1 and a half tsp ...
    3. Powdered milk 1tbsp
    4. Salt half tsp
    5. Oil 2 tbsp
    6. Egg 1 (plus 1 for glazing)
    7. Castor sugar 1 tsp

    In a bowl mix together flour, salt, castor sugar, milk powder, yeast, oil and egg, knead to medium soft dough with slightly warm water,
    leave to rise for 1 hour or overnight in cold weather.

    Ingredients for chicken filling:


    1. Chicken boiled and shredded 1 cups
    2. Onion & tomato 1, 1
    3. Ginger, garlic paste 1 tsp
    4. Green chilies 2
    5. Salt half tsp
    6. Red chili powder hal tsp
    7. Coriander leaves / spring onion 2tbsp
    8. Garam Masala Powder 1 tsp
    9. Flour 1 tbsp
    10. Butter 2 tbsp
    11. Milk half cup
    12. Sesame seeds as required

    Chop onion, tomato, ginger, garlic and green chilies till become paste.
    Heat 2 tbsp butter in a cooking pot fry onion tomato paste then add salt, red chili, garam masala and shredded chicken after few minutes....
    add flour then milk, cook till thick, add spring onion and coriander leaves, remove and cool completely.
    Now divide the dough into four parts depending on what size croissants you want. Roll the dough to a circle shape;
    mark the cut with sharp knife on half side. Put filling on the other half and start folding. Cut will be on upper side.
    Now fold the corner to make a croissant shape. Brush top with beaten egg, sprinkle sesame seeds and keep in a warm place for 15 minutes
    then bake on 200 degree C for 10 to 15 minutes or so.
    Right after taking out of the oven apply butter well on croissant and let it rest covered with a cloth for 2-3 min to soften the croissant completely.
