PCB, SLCB officials meet in Kuala Lumpur tomorrow
KUALA LUMPUR: The officials of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Sri Lankan Cricket Board (SLCB) will meet tomorrow at Kuala Lumpur and a final decision is expected on Sri Lankan teamís proposed tour of Pakistan.
Pakistan had invited Sri Lanka for a series of five One-day Internationals and three Test matches and the Sri Lankan cricket adhoc committee has already accepted it but the tour is now in some doubt after the sacking of Arjuna Ranatunga as chairman of the interim board of Sri Lanka cricket.
Chief operating officer PCB Saleem Altaf said that the PCB officials will meet the Sri Lankan cricket officials on the occasion of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) at Kuala Lumpur on Saturday.
Pakistan will be represented at the ACC meeting by chairman PCB Ijaz Butt and Saleem Altaf.
The Sri Lankan team was invited to tour Pakistan in place of Indian team and this tour is likely to begin from January 19.
