ISLAMABAD: The WAPDA won the third National Women Judo Championship here on Sunday. Army was the Runners-up and Railways secured third position.
Syed Amir Hamza Gilani, Director General, Pakistan Sports Board was the chief guest and gave away the medal and trophies to the teams at the end of the championship held here at the PSB Hamidi Hall, Pakistan Sports Complex.
The WAPDA won the title with 34 points bagging six gold and two bronze medals while the Pakistan Army finished runners up with 23 points taking one gold, five silver and two bronze medals.
The Pakistan Railways came third with 20 points winning one gold, three silver and two bronze medals.
The Punjab secured the fourth position with four points, the NWFP obtained the fifth position with four points and the Police gained the sixth position with three points. They bagged four, two and two bronze medals, respectively.
