KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) outplayed Karachi Whites by an innings and 193 runs in a match of the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy while in another match National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) defeated Habib Bank by 171 runs.
On the third day of the match played at the National Stadium, Karachi Whites were all out for 161 runs in their second innings.
Anwar Ali of PIA bagged ten wickets in the match.
In the match played at the National Bank Sports Complex, Habib Bank were bundled out for a mere 88 runs.
Mohammad Talha of NBP claimed five wickets.
In the match being played at the Quaid-i-Azam Park Steel Town, Sui Southern has gained a lead of 50 runs against Customs.
At the Arbab Niaz Stadium, Peshawar, Abbottabad ousted Peshawar by nine wickets.
In the match at the Diamond Ground Islamabad, Rawalpindi requires just 11 runs for victory over Islamabad with four wickets remaining.
Lahore ‘Y’ piled up 327 runs in the first innings against Faisalabad with the help of 114 runs by Kashif Siddiq.
Asad Zarrar and Zulqarnain took three wickets each.
In reply, Faisalabad made 96 runs for the loss of two wickets when the play was stopped due to bad light.
In Sheikhupura, only six overs were bowled in which Sui Gas scored 72 for four in the first innings.
