SYDNEY: This is said that a lion becomes more dangerous when he is injured. This is what Graeme Smith, the injured captain of South Africa is thinking as he has decided to play in Sydney Test.
Graeme Smith, who has topped the list of all batsmen in the year 2008, is so enthusiastic after winning two Test matches against Australia that he wants to play the third Test despite his elbow injury and against doctors’ advice.
It is obvious that Smith would not like any other captain share the whitewash against Australia in the three-Test series.
Smith’s batting and captaincy have been a huge factor in South Africa winning their first-ever Test series in Australia. He scored 48, 108, 62 and 75 to lead his side to an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the three-Test contest.
