Default Awareness of breast cancer: pink stumps in Sydney

SYDNEY: Stumps in pink colour instead of white are being used in Sydney Test and for the first time in Test cricket history, wickets and sponsor logo at ground have been coloured.

A campaign for awareness of breast cancer has officially been launched on request from Glenn McGrath and the players participated in the match wearing pink caps.

The sponsor logo on the players’ shirts and the stumps were also pink whereas on McGrath’s request, a large number of spectators also wore pink caps while enjoying from the match.

At the end of the match, shirts with players autographs would be given to those spectators who would contribute the maximum donations for the organization of McGrath.
