COLOMBO: Chief executive Sri Lankan cricket board Duleep Mendis ruled out the impression that Sri Lanka together with India is ignoring Pakistan to ensure the series with India.
Duleep Mendis told Geo News from Colombo that no final talk with Pakistan was held on the schedule of the tour of Pakistan.
Earlier, Mendis had promised to chief operating officer Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Saleem Altaf that he would finalise the schedule by Sunday but the Sri Lankan board did not give any reply to the PCB on Sunday.
Mendis said that it may take a few days more to finalize the schedule because the Sri Lankan officials are considering various options in this regard.
However, the chief executive of the Sri Lankan cricket board confirmed that Sri Lanka and India are negotiating for a one-day series between the two countries in the third week of February but he avoided to give its details.
