Australia announce squad for Women''s World Cup

MELBOURNE: Defending champion Australia on Wednesday announced a 15-member squad, under the leadership of Karen Rolton, for the ICC Women''s World Cup to be held here from March 7-22.

The 25-match tournament, in which Australia will be the top seed, would be held in four venues, Sydney, Newcastle, Bowral and Canberra, Cricket Australia officials said.

Before the World Cup, the squad will travel to New Zealand for a five-match ODI series next month.
