Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have completed the transfer of Dutch attacker Arjen Robben from Real Madrid for an undisclosed fee. Robben has signed a four-year deal at his new club.

The 25-year-old Robben was surplus to requirements at Real Madrid following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo and the Spanish side have therefore opted to cash in on the former Chelsea attacker.

Robben will be given the shirt number 10 at Bayern, last worn by his compatriot Roy Makaay and not assigned since then. He will take part in Bayerns final pre-match training session on Friday afternoon and is eligible to make his official debut in Saturdays Bundesliga showdown against champions VfL Wolfsburg at the Allianz Arena.

"It all happened very fast. There were a couple of things I wanted to think over, but in the end I decided I really wanted to move to a huge club like Bayern, the player explained in an FCB.tv interview.

Right from the start, Bayern gave me a very good feeling, and I feel very welcome here. This is a massive club with a glorious history, and Im delighted to be here now. Im totally fit, I had a good pre-season with Real Madrid, and Im ready to play."
