PCB not to attend WC Organising Committee meeting

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided not to attend the meeting of the World Cup Organising Committee to be held in Mumbai on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the PCB has asked the Central Organising Committee not to include the PCB in any organising committee.

The meeting of the World Cup Central Organising Committee is being held on September 2 in Mumbai.

The committee had issued an invitation to the Pakistan Cricket Board on which PCB chairman Ijaz Butt had earlier said that Wasim Bari and Subhan Ahmed would attend the meeting but now the PCB has decided not to take part in it.

The PCB has adopted the instance that as Pakistan is no more the host of the World Cup and its position will be just a participating team in the event thus there is no justification for the PCB to represent Pakistan at any organizing or sub committee.
