3 quarts popped corn
3 cups unsalted mixed nuts
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar:
1/2 cup Light or Dark Corn Syrup
1/2 cup margarine or butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Spray a large shallow roasting pan with cooking spray. Combine popcorn and nuts in pan; place in a 300° oven while preparing glaze.
In heavy 2 ~ quart saucepan stir together brown sugar, corn syrup, margarine and salt.
Stirring constantly, bring to a boil over medium heat. Without stirring, boil 5 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and baking soda. Pour syrup mixture over warm popcorn mixture, stirring to coat well.
Bake in 300° oven, stirring occasionally, 45 minutes. Remove from oven. Cool; break apart. Store in tightly covered container. Yield: 4 quarts.
