Real Madrid midfielder Guti has revealed that a summer conversation with coach Manuel Pellegrini was the key in deciding to carry on as a Blanco this season.
"The key to staying was Pellegrini. My main options were to go, but my talk with the coach made me stay," Guti said, according to AS.
"Now this year I want to win the European Cup at the Bernabeu, and stay another year. At first I thought things were complicated, but in the end I am playing a lot of minutes, and I look forward to continuing like this."
The Madrid veteran also added that he intends to continue playing beyond 2011 when his current deal expires, but says by then he will be too old for the English Premier League.
He added, "I do not know if it is a good age to go to the Premier [League]. I think at 34 or 35 I should look at another league, something different."
