asking Super fast memory by IBM

IBM researchers have allegedly developed a next-generation digital storage that can increase the capacity and speed of portable memories.

'Racetrack' memory, as this technology is called, works by using spinning electrons to store more data and provides the systems with faster speed than regular hard drives.
The prototype encodes bits into the magnetic domain walls along the length of a silicon nano-wire. IBM applies massless motion to move the magnetic domain walls along the nano-wire for the storage and retrieval of information.

Massless motion technology applied in the device reduces the likelihood of mechanical malfunction. However, unlike flash memory, it can write data very quickly and does not wear easily out over time.

It is invented to initially replace flash memory and eventually hard-disk drives, according to IBM Corp.
