Pakistan win toss, batting against England in 1st T20
DUBAI: Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik won the toss and elected to bat against England in the first Twenty20 International here at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday.
Pakistan are defending their crown in the Caribbean in April and May of this year, and following a forgettable tour of Australia, the coming couple of matches represent a chance to boost their confidence.
For England, this is their first international outing since their series ambitions were thwarted by a rampant Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel at Johannesburg last month.
Pakistan: Imran Nazir, Imran Farhat, Khalid Latif, Umar Akmal, Shoaib Malik (captain), Fawad Alam, Abdul Razzaq, Sarfraz Ahmed (wk), Umar Gul, Yasir Arafat, Saeed Ajmal.
England: Joe Denly, Jonathan Trott, Kevin Pietersen, Paul Collingwood (captain), Eoin Morgan, Luke Wright, Matt Prior (wk), Stuart Broad, Tim Bresnan, Graeme Swann, Ryan Sidebottom.
