Kamran refuses to comment on match-fixing allegation

LAHORE: Wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal refused to comment on the match-fixing allegation, saying the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman has stopped him from speaking on the issue.

He was talking to reporters at the Allama Iqbal International Airport before leaving for Karachi where he is due to appear domestic T20 competition.

His brother Umar Akmal was also with him on this occasion.

Akmal, however, added that such allegations were nothing new.

It may be reminded that Voice of America quoted PCB officials saying that Kamran Akmal and pacer Rana Naveed ul Hasan were involved in match-fixing.
