Sohail Tanvir going Australia for knee operation

LAHORE: Fast bowler Sohail Tanvir will leave here on Saturday night for Australia to get his knee operation.

His knee was injured in a Twenty20 match against New Zealand at Dubai last year due to which he could not play for Pakistan in the series against New Zealand, Australia and England. He was also not included in the list of 30 probable players for the forthcoming T20 World Cup.

Doctors have advised him surgery of his knee and Sohail will therefore leave Lahore on Saturday night for Melbourne where Dr Young will operate his knee.
