Azharuddin terms life ban as unreasonable

ALIGARH: Congress MP and former Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin on Monday termed life ban imposed on Pakistani cricketers as unreasonable.

Talking to media in a horse show here, former Indian captain said it is unreasonable to imposed such sever punishment on violation of discipline. The duration of the punishment should be less, he added.

Indian cricket board had imposed life ban on Azharuddin in 2000 for his involvement in match fixing.
