Bayern beat Man United 2-1 in Champions League

MUNICH: Striker Ivica Olic of Bayern Munich scored in stoppage time to give his team a dramatic 2-1 victory against Manchester United in their Champions League quarter-final first leg.

Olic scored from close range with almost the last kick of the match to hand United their first away loss in the competition this season.

Olympique Lyon’s Argentine striker Lisandro Lopez scored twice to help his side beat Girondins Bordeaux 3-1 in the first leg of the Champions League’s quarter-final yesterday.

Lyon made it 2-1 courtesy of Brazilian winger Michel Bastos around the half-hour and a Lisandro penalty 13 minutes from time gave them a significant advantage.
