Azlan Shah cup: South Korea beat Pakistan 4-2

IPOH: South Korea cruised into the final after defeating Pakistan 4-2 in a match of the Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament being played here.

In the final moments of the game, Pakistan skipper Muhammad Imran was sent out of the match after being shown all three cards by the referee.

Earlier, Muhammad Zubair scored the first goal as Pakistan gained one goal lead in the first half but South Korea came back strongly and dominated the proceeding throughout the second half, scoring two quick goals.

Although skipper Imran managed to score an equalizer but South Korea hit two more goals to finish the match 4-2.

A few minutes before the end of match, referee gave South Korea a penalty stroke, which Pakistan strongly protested and refused to continue the mach. As a result, the umpire showed all three cards to skipper Imran and sent him out of the match.

The defeat has ended Pakistanís chances of qualifying for the final.
