Google Chrome has been my primary browser from some time now. Although it irritates me sometimes with unexpected crashes on the Dev Channel, but with new builds coming up every few days it is becoming more and more stable and adding more power packed features.
The latest edition on the dev channel, the version 6.x has got an amazing Extension Sync feature. Now not only you can sync the Bookmarks, Preference and Themes, but also you can sync the extensions on your Google chrome web browser on all your computers using your Google account.
To use this feature, you need to be on Dev build, you can do so by installing a latest Dev build or changing your update channel to dev.
DEV channel contains beta version updates and the browser will have more bugs and instability compared to the stable versions. So try it at your own risk.
After you are on Dev channel, update Google chrome and right click on the Google Chrome icon on your desktop or taskbar. Go to Properties and add this argument (without quotes) to the Target field at the end “–enable-sync-extensions”.
For Mac users, here is a script to enable Google Chrome Extension Sync
on Mac OS X.
