SAN FRANCISCO -- Andres Torres went 3-for-6, including a game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning to lead the Giants to a 10-9 win over the Marlins on Wednesday at AT&T Park.
Aaron Rowand, Edgar Renteria and Nate Schierholtz recorded three straight one-out singles before Torres' hit.
The Giants got off to a quick start, scoring four in the first and three in the third to chase Florida starter Alex Sanabia after two-plus innings. A sixth-inning, two-run homer by Torres seemed to be moot, giving the Giants a 9-2 lead with three innings remaining.
Then, the Florida bats awoke.
Donnie Murphy hit a pinch-hit, three-run homer off Giants starter Jonathan Sanchez, who was lifted, and Dan Uggla hit a two-run home run -- his fourth homer of the series -- to bring Florida within two.
The Marlins tied the game in the ninth on an RBI single by Logan Morrison and a ground-rule double by Uggla off All-Star closer Brian Wilson.
