Eboue signs long-term Arsenal deal
Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Emmanuel Eboue has signed a new "long-term" contract with Arsenal.
The versatile defender has struggled to break into the Gunners' first team this season - making just five starts - but he has pledged his future to the club he joined in 2004.
"He extended his contract one or two months ago. It is a long-term deal," Wenger said.
Elsewhere, Wenger has confirmed that he is not ruling out the possibility of making any signings during the January window. "I haven't ruled out signings," he continued. "If I have an outstanding opportunity, maybe I will take it.
"I do not want to sit here and say we won't, then people can come back and say 'but you said you wouldn't sign anyone'.
"There's still a big chance we won't sign anyone because it's difficult to find better players than what we have, but if there's an exceptional opportunity, you never know."
