Manchester City not interested in Buffon
Roberto Mancini has distanced himself from reports linking Manchester City with a bid for Juventus keeper Gianluigi Buffon.
The keeper was a target for City last year and with the Italian heading towards full fitness once again following a spell on the sidelines through injury, reports have surfaced once again.
Mancini is an admirer of Buffon, but he placed his faith in Joe Hart in the summer and has backed the England youngster once again.
"The way I see it is that Buffon remains one of the best goalkeepers in the world," Buffon told Tuttosport. "But we have decided for some time to point on Hart, who is a young player with enormous potential.
"We believe so much in him to the point of having sacrificed a great number one like (Shay) Given.
"Hence, I can categorically say that we will never make any offers for Buffon."
