Erin Law, who lives in an orphanage called Whitegates, goes on an adventurous journey to get away from Whitehouse. On this journey, she goes with her two best friends, January Carr and Mouse Gullane. Along their journey, they meet Heaven Eyes, a sweet and sensitive girl, and her grandpa. They find treasure and have copious experiences — good and bad. Through these many experiences, they find different ways to live life and to have fun.

David Almond, a magnificent and talented author, made Heaven Eyes a miraculous piece of art. With this outstanding story, he has won a coupe of awards. One award is the Publishers Weekly Best Book and another one is A Booklist Book for Youth Editor's Choice. Almond has also written many other astonishing books. Some of those are, Kit's Wilderness, Skellig Clay and Secret Heart. With these books he has also won awards.
I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone who liked reading a book and not caring about the world around them. This book is filled with adventure, enthusiasm and mischief, and together, it creates a superior book. To me, this was a fantastic book and it even felt like I was one of the characters going along on the journey.|
