Clijsters to face Venus in Miami Open final

MIAMI: Kim Clijsters won a thrilling third-set tiebreak Thursday to defeat Justine Henin in the semifinals of Miami Open.

Clijsters will try to capture her second tournament title of the year when she faces Venus Williams in the championship match Saturday.

Henin defeated four straight seeded players in reaching the semifinals, but fell to the No. 14 Clijsters 6-2, 6-7 (3-7), 7-6 (8-6). Henin fought off three match points.

Williams reached the finals by ousting Marion Bartoli 6-3, 6-4.

Clijsters overcame 10 double faults and evened her record against Henin in 24 career meetings. Williams has a 6-5 advantage over Clijsters.

Williams has won 15 consecutive matches, a streak that has brought her titles in Dubai and Acapulco. She has a 19-1 record in 2010, the lone loss coming against Li Na in the quarterfinals of the Australian Open.
