Amitab Bachhan being a teetotaller

Cirrhosis of Liver as a result of blood
transfusions after his near fatal
accidents on the sets of film 'Coolie'
on August 2, 1982. The condition was
detected in routine medical examination
in 2000.

Post the accident, Bachchan's surgery
required lot of blood and 60 bottles of
blood weere collected." Some of the blood
from an unnown donor was infected with
the Australian Antigen Hepatitis (Some
serious liver disease). It was an unknown
Hepatitis in 1982 and there were, perhapes
the urgency of the matter, no proper testing
to ascertain its existance was done. Eight
years ago, during the test of MRI , they
discovered that I imbibed through blood
transfusion from the donor" Amitab wrote
on the blog. Now 67 years old actor has to be
checked every three months. Bachhan known
to suffer constant stomache-related
